Archive for Industry Skills Councils

Agriculture + Food = Agri-Food

The latest edna VET  theme page is about Agri-Food Skills Australia, the Industry Skills Council for agriculture, food processing, meat, seafood and racing in Australia.  This page contains an environmental scan and discussion paper, the most recent Annual Report, numeracy and literacy initiatives, recent conferences and papers, information about funding, and an Agriculture Portal relevant to Australian stakeholders in these industries.

New set of themes for ednaVET

The edna VET theme pages are set for a refresh and a new category which will be called Focus on Industry Skills Councils (ISCs).  There are eleven councils in Australia, and we will feature a new one each month with information about their activities, projects and publications. The ISCs are: Agri-Food Industry Skills Council, Construction and Property Services Industry Skills Council, Community Services and Health Industry Skills Council, EE-Oz Training Standards, Government Skills Australia, Innovation & Business Skills Australia, Manufacturing Skills Australia, Resources and Infrastructure Industry Skills Council, Service Industries Skills Council, and TDT Australia. In their own words, they  ‘bridge the divide between our nation’s industry and the often complex vocational education and training environment’.
